They have just announced the launch of Office Anywhere, a service that gives you Windows PC functions, but in a smartphone that’s small enough to fit in your pocket. Because it comes with VoIP as well, BT Office Anywhere brings the added bonus of saving you money on your mobile calls with free hour-long internet phone calls to UK landlines.

With employees doing more and more work on the road and while traveling these days, this product just might be the best thing since laptops and cell phones. No getting away from work now! BT’s statistics have almost 40% of workers being out of the office for 20% of their time or more, so now with Office Anywhere they can keep up on e-mails and office-related tasks without having to lug their laptop everywhere.

Bill Murphy, managing director of BT Business, said: “BT Office Anywhere is a breakthrough solution for small and medium sized businesses - it gives them the freedom to carry on doing what they do best, getting to and staying in the thick of the action, without losing touch or missing out on new opportunities.”

The Office Anywhere smartphone, HTC’s S620, is free for a limited period with contract. It features a 2.4-inch screen color display, Bluetooth and a 1.3 megapixel camera for taking photos and video clips.
