VoIPFONE To Rescue 0207 Users Ditched By Skype!

Source: snapvoip.blogspot.com

Remember the story about Skype ditching some users in UK, business and personal, who happened to have 0207 prefix, which Skype was very Sorry (Not!) about. It seems that it was a purely an economic decision, but it is pittance compared to what Skype and Ebay is handling these days.
But another company has seized the opportunity, and come forward to help those customers that have economic bindings to those numbers. It will make VoIPFONE, the company offering to rescue the users, very dear.
In an statement, one of the UK’s largest VOIP operators, Voipfone , has announced that they are offering to transfer Skype numbers onto their own network entirely free of charge. Those who take up the offer will also discover that once they have switched over they will pay less than they currently do via Skype.

Colin Duffy is the Chief Executive Officer of Voipfone and he said,

“This must be distressing, expensive and inconvenient times for all Skype customers with 0207 numbers. With companies facing mail shots, business cards and stationery that are all having to be scrapped, we are really pleased to be in a position to help”.

He continued, “Our special number porting offer means that not only does the customer get to keep their number, but it also costs less, both to rent it and to make calls using it”.
A free-phone rescue helpline has been set up by Voipfone to help Skype customers easily switch over their 0207 numbers; 0800 5200 949.

This goes to explain that just because a company is popular and Big, you cannot be rest assured that they will look after your VoIP needs. (It might be same for the other business’ but here we are all about VoIP!). They might ditch you for any reason, but on the other hand, small operators, the customers are their life blood. (Big Companies think the same way but they have bales of money stacked somewhere and can afford to drop some customers without hesitation.).
Way to go VoIPFONE, 10,000s like these add up to be millions sometime!
VoIPFONE also offeres other services that goes beyond what Skype does and you can find them at VoIPFONE home page.
