Fring expands MVoIP community, now supports windows mobile devices

fring-expands-mvoip-community_28 Fring has moved a step ahead in the emerging MVoIP market by enabling its users to enjoy mobile VoIP services on their Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0 series handheld devices. It shows a major expansion of Fring’s MVoIP community.

Tradionally, Fring is a downloadable mobile phone application ensuring P2P 3G VoIP services to Symbian phones. The main features of Fring includes VoIP services without WiFi, Skype support, Google Talk services, Simple installation and no air-time charge, Full-duplex voice quality and user friendly application.

With this addition, Fring now supports nearly 300 Windows mobile phones and Pocket PCs over any 3G, GPRS or WiFi Internet connection.

In a press release, Fring CEO, Avi Shechter said,

Like all fringsters, Windows Mobile users now have real mobile independence to make VoIP calls at no extra cost with rich presence indicators and hold multiple live chat sessions with their mobile, PC and landline contacts all from one integrated contact list.

Kapanga Softphone for Windows Mobile 5.0 launched

Announcing its entry into VoIP market with full vigor, Ecotronics has made a beta release of a mobile version of its foremost VoIP client software Kapanga Softphone that brings SIP-based VoIP services to the customers.

It is now available for a one-month trial. The users can download the VoIP client from companys website to make instant voice and video communications via PBX software or VoIP provider using the mobile devices 802.22 WiFi network. The Kapanga mobile users can also directly communicate with other SIP devices.

Martin Cadirola, President and VP Business Development of Ecotronics Ventures LLC explained,

We believe the future is in mobility. We are now launching a public beta after a year of successful field tests with large OEM clients. Our strategy is to become part of the family of solutions available to Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) and Triple Play players in the VoIP industry and Kapanga Mobile will be one of our key offerings in 2007.

The Kapanga Mobile Beta operates on Windows Mobile 5.0 phones such as Cingular 8125, T-Mobile MDA, Qtek 9100 and Axim X51v Pocket PC PDA.
