TKS Telepost Kabel-Service to Use SAFARI C(Cubed) for VoIP

Source: www.voip-news.com

TKS Telepost Kabel-Service is now using Cedar Point Communications’s SAFARI C (Cubed) Multimedia Switching System in its English-language telecommunication services in Germany. Cedar Point is a New Hampshire-based VoIP switching technology source for service provider and enterprise telecommunications. TKS is used on armed forces outposts in Germany.

According to Cedar Point:

bridacom, a joint venture of Wilhelm Sihn Jr. GmbH & Co. KG (WISI) and IET.HOLDING GmBH (IET), entered into the sales agreement with TKS Telepost Kabel-Service as a value-added reseller for Cedar Point in Europe. In addition, bridacom provided planning, delivery, installation, integration, configuration and other technical services related to the deployment.
SAFARI C(Cubed) is an integrated voice switching platform that supports TDM, packet and SIP-based telephony services. SAFARI C(Cubed) simplifies the network by integrating elements of the VoIP switching architecture to cost- effectively provide carrier-class performance and reliability, while increasing network integrity, security and privacy.

“Our need for high levels of quality and security and reduced cost and complexity all were key considerations in our evaluation of voice switching options,” said Ralf Fahrnholz, head of Communication Systems for TKS. “The simplicity of SAFARI C(Cubed)’s architecture, its successful introduction into the European market space, and its outstanding track record in deployments throughout Europe, the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean made it an ideal choice for our needs.”

iPhone vs gPhone will lead us to iGPhone

Source: snapvoip.blogspot.com

Update: It has already been invented, I meant the iGPhone! See below for the Photo and connection! PS watch out for lead paint.

Even though the gPhone is yet to emerge, discussions about security and other aspects of the phones.
Some are concerned about openness of gPhone without realizing the roots of MAC OX X and that the code is somewhat open!;
"As the first major computer company to make Open Source development a key part of its ongoing software strategy, Apple remains committed to the Open Source development model. Major components of Mac OS X, including the UNIX-based core, are made available under Apple’s Open Source license, allowing developers and students to view source code, learn from it and submit suggestions and modifications. In addition, Apple uses software created by the Open Source community, such as the HTML rendering engine for Safari, and returns its enhancements to the community."
According to Apple itself.
So the pundits, change the course, find some thing else to argue about and attract media attention. Because Open Source vs Closed Source does not work here.
Penny for a thoughts; Apple iPhone operates in a root environment (with admin rights, to Microsoft people) and I am almost ready to bet my bad writing on gPhone will run with root permissions! ;).
So there goes iPhone could join the " Open Handset Alliance " (gPhone) or create iGPhone (i God Phone) doing away with Jesus Phone.
News com discuss the issue. http://igphone.zhongsou.com/igphone/register.jsp
