Nintendo Co. has announced additional features to its DS portable video games player . Nintendo announced the additional features at the DICE tech conference being held in Las Vegas. It has introduced voice chat in its gaming device. The voice chat feature would be included in its Metroid Prime Hunters. The feature would be available from 20th March. This would enable players playing games on the internet to talk to each other after a game was over and not during the gaming process. This feature is one step behind Sonys SOCOM U.S. Navy Seal Fireteam Bravo which allows players to talk to each other during the duration of the game.

Source: voipcentral.org

Nintendo DS: Will we be seeing VoIP in the coming DS?There are unconfirmed gossips from Japan that suggest that Nintendo’s DS redesign would be a cell-phone inspired and accompanied by voice-driven functionality.

Anyway, if Nintendo can come up with a killer of a gaming device along with full internet access and free calls between users (when within range of a Wi-Fi spot) for around $100 it would be one of the hottest gadgets around that I, as an VoIP and gaming enthusiast, would certainly would like to have one for myself.

Well, new DS device is rumoured to be showcased at this May’s E3. I cant wait for it.
