BroadSoft to focus on sales in the Caribbean

BroadSoft Inc., a leading provider of VoIP application software has announced that they have created a new sales team for VoIP platform to provide services across Bermuda, the Caribbean, and Latin America.

The new team will support existing channel partner and tier one carrier customer adding new customers for expanding VoIP market.

The new sales team will focus on delivering the platform to support hosted PBX and IP Centrex services. Alex Fano who brings 16 years of experience in sales and business development, and expanding the company will lead it. Fano is responsible for management also in Mexico. Bill Soto, who will spearhead the company’s efforts in Bermuda, the Caribbean and Central America, comes to the team with 17 years experience working with service providers in the region. Alex Recabarren is also joining with 16 years of experience as a manager of the South American territory.

According to Eduardo Dubin Domingues, Latin America Research Analyst with Frost & Sullivan, the VoIP service market will have a growth of 85 percent in Latin America from 2005-2011.

Matrix targets the Japanese VoIP market

Brazilian telecom giant Matrix Internet is planning to expand its networking in Japan. It has collaborated with Telecall Japan. Matrix has envisaged an action plan to get 100,000 clients in a year.

After making a strong base in Brazil, Matrix Internet has decided to dominate the Japanese market by ensuring cost effective service to the clients. The VoIP service in Japan, which Matrix started this week, will also target foreigners, particularly Latin Americans living in Japan. The company is ready to charge low price for the Latin Americans in Japan. They can call from Japan to So Paulo for the price of a local Brazilian call.

AT&T spreads out its Network Integration
