Flashphone has released an Adobe AIR application, TMC reports. Like Phweet, Flashphone should — in theory — work on Aircell.

Engin signs VoIP deal with HP

Australia-based Engin and leading IT company HP have formed strategic partnership to push forward enriched VoIP services to the SMB market.

Under the deal, HP dx business desktops and nx notebooks would be integrated with Engin services. It would be done by the first of next month. The subscribers of Engin will be offered to make 100 free local or international calls for a period of three months.

Meanwhile, Engin has also signed another deal with Intel to insert its Softphone technology inside Intel PCI cards which would be marketed with specified HP desktops and notebooks.

The Softphone technology changes phone signals to digital signals, then transmits digital signals over broadband internet connection. There by, it enables cheap VoIP calls to landlines within Australia for 10 cents.
