Deltathree gets go2call

deltathree, Inc., a leading provider of SIP-based Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
solutions for service providers and consumers worldwide, today announced that it acquired the service provider and consumer businesses of Go2Call.com, Inc., a privately-held U.S.-based VoIP solutions provider. deltathree signed a definitive agreement to purchase these businesses from Go2Call on February 17, 2007. The transaction closed on February 19, 2007.
Under the terms of the agreement, deltathree acquired Go2Call’s consumer and service provider businesses as well as key components of their regional infrastructure worldwide. With the addition of Go2Call’s customer accounts, deltathree strengthens its service provider and consumer channels while expanding its presence to new regions of the world.

Loral Skynet allying with VoIP providers

Loral Skynet, US satellite Communications Company is going to announce its partnership with a VoIP platform provider to develop the VoIP offerings in Latin America, North America and Europe.

Last month, Loral Skynet made a partnership with Go2Call to launch its service in Asia.

Loral provides global IP connectivity through Telstar global satellite fleet and SkyReach IP service. The Go2Call’s platform is the interface between businesses and government organizations. Loral and Go2Call are expecting telcos and ISPs to resell this service.

This venture would be the first global network operator in Latin America to provide VoIP services.

According to company executives, soon Loral will take its position in Latin America with its IP and data services.

Loral Skynet with Go2CallLoral Skynet and Go2Call joined to provide VoIP services to telecommunications and ISP/Broadband carriers, businesses and government organizations in Asia.

According to this agreement, Skynet has to combine its global Telstar satellite fleet and make network with SkyReach IP based service platform with unique technology of Go2Call.

They will offer fast implementation of carrier grade platforms without the investment of VoIP infrastructure to customers.
