Is there any serious internal problem in Freshtel? The question rises following the sudden change in the companys top position in less than a quarter.

According to VoIPnews, John Butkiewicz has stepped down from the position of CEO of Freshtel. The Freshtel Board has accepted his resignation and appointed a new chief.

John Butkiewicz was appointed as CEO in January this year. That means he remained in the top most position for just three months. If a CEO resigns in less than a year, it seems there is some problems in the companys management level. However, Freshtel has not disclosed the reasons of his resignation.

Peter Warner will be appointed as the new CEO of Freshtel while Michael Carew to act as the Global Business Director of the company.

It is a resounding marketing deal between the Freshtel and Narta Group, the major electrical buying group in Australia. The agreement allows Freshtel to supply its VoIP products to Narta Group.

As we know, Narta deals with retail bigwigs like JB Hi-Fi, Clive Peeters, Clive Anthonys, Radio Rentals, David Jones, Bing Lee and Downtown Duty Free. With this marketing agreement, Freshtel would supply its product to the retail market in Australia.

Michael Carew, CEO at Freshtel stated,

Consumer demand has dictated that we supply our product to the retail market in Australia, although our core business white labeling our service to wholesale customers.

The alliance with Narta would enable Freshtel to grow a domestic retail business without any investment to serve a large number of retailers.

Earlier, the VoIP Company has unveiled a direct service delivery model in England, where Tesco uses a Freshtel white label solution.
