Ring Central Gets More Scalable

Source: www.voip-news.com

Ring Carrier will be using TelcoBridges’ TMG3200 Media Gateway for its scalable open source telephony solutions. Known for its hosted IP-PBX solutions,  Ring Carrier’s solutions are deployed by ITSPs, LECs, and CLECs to deliver IP-PBX services to their enterprise VoIP customers.

According to TelcoBridges:

TelcoBridges’ TMG3200 Media Gateway integrates seamlessly within the Asterisk framework to perform the media transcoding, signaling, call routing functions and connect the IP-PBX to the TDM and VoIP networks. It supports any-to-any call bridging on SIP, SS7 and ISDN networks. By offloading the media processing to the TelcoBridges hardware, Ring Carrier solves the scalability and manageability issues related to the use of the Asterisk platform for large scale deployments.

So, Ring Carrier’s scalability has vastly improved with this partnership.
“Ring Carrier has created a unique VoIP Fabric that facilitates the creation of an unlimited number of PBX building blocks,” said Ring Carrier’s President Paul Mahler. “By using TelcoBridges’ TMG3200 Media Gateway, we’ve solved the issues associated with media processing, and as a result, we can effectively deliver thousands of hosted PBX solutions, that can reach millions of end points. Our Ring Provider solution is available for resale by system integrators and resellers worldwide.”

In case you are interested, there’s a session at Spring VON.x tomorrow - Tuesday - that will discuss this combined solution. Did You Know? Open Source Telephony Can Scale is scheduled for 3 p.m. today in the VON.x Theatre on the expo floor.
