Observing growing demand for WiFi VoIP mobiles in Europe, particularly in England, France telecoms UK division Orange has launched a similar type of handheld device.

It combines fixed line and mobile phone service by accessing orange Livebox network via broadband connections from fixed and WiFi locations.

The WiFi mobile phone offers a single phone number bill solution for both mobile and VoIP network services. It would be available in the major European countries including UK, France, the Netherlands, Spain and Poland.

The device uses customers home network to make calls when they switch to the standard Orange network even if they are away from their homes. It does not require a PC or any additional software to make VoIP calls.
