OpenPBX on a VMware image

Source: snapvoip.blogspot.com

Xming has posted on his blog that a OpenPBX image has been compile using uclibc. He has managed to get the whole system including the kernel to be around 12MB. A good start for embedded OpenPBX.
Xming has gone further and created a VMware image which come out to be 100MB, which is ready for download. The compressed download is only 9MB.
The release is not for production nor general populace, as some tweaks and configurations are needed in order to get the system working. But it is a good start for any one thinking of OpenPBX appliance! Or just want to run and test OpenPBX, without actually installing software on system. Since a VMware image runs on any platform that supports VMware, you do not have to limit your OS choice.
Instructions and details are available on Xming’s post. Also the down loadable image is also attached to the same post.
