MINO application enables Symbian Phones to provide cheap VoIP calls

Sunnyvale-based MINO Wireless has asserted its latest mobile application enables to make cheap VoIP calls in the Symbian OS supported phones including Nokia, Sony Erickson and Motorola.

Using MINOs mobile application, these phones can call to any phone worldwide at rates starting from 2.2 cents per minute.

Jing Liu, CEO of MINO wireless views on the Symbian Operating System,

Though affordable international calling options like Vonage and SkypeOut are present in the market, MINO is the first company to extend VoIP calls to mobile phones.

The big brands like Nokia, Sony Erickson and Motorola use the Symbian operating system and download the MINO application easily. The growing popularity of the operating system has enabled MINO to record nearly 10,000 downloads by the Symbian phone users in the first few months.

MINO has started this service in early 2006 and registered more than 90,000 users in 50 countries.
