The Los Angeles court dismissed $4.1 billion lawsuit against Skype terming the complainer has failed to produce sufficient evidence over their claim.

Streamcast Networks has filed the lawsuit against Skype claiming Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis have used its Peer to Peer (P2P) technology called Morpheus for their VoIP services.

In the suit, Streamcast alleged that Skype founders have infringed its P2P software and asked $4.1 billion compensation for the damage.

The company has also sought a court order to ban eBay from selling Skype services. The case was filed March last year.

However, the court dismissed the case saying Streamcast had failed to prove its claim.
