T3, a gadget blog that previewed iPhone in UK, and with soft experiments fount that TIFF exploit — the software loophole used by hackers to “jailbreak” version 1.1.1 has been closed. This loophole allowed iPhone owners to install dozens of third-party apps, including such popular add-ons as Navizon, Voice Notes and IM programs like Apollo and Mobile Chat.
iPhones unlocked to work with cellular providers other than Apple’s official carriers;
AT&T in the U.S.,
O2 in the U.K.,
T-Mobile in Germany
Orange in France, (Nov 29th)
will also ceased to work, if the iPhone 1.1.2 update is applied. It is suggested that iPhone owners wait till hacker community find solutions to your non virgin iPhone problems and hten upgrade to newer version. If you have already upgraded, this link might make it a virgin iPhone again. Since version 1.1.2 of firmware comes pre-installed, I am not sure if you could down grade it.
