Global Touch Telecom deploys T.38 Fax Support video over VoIP

Global Touch Telecom Inc, provider of traditional and VoIP services, said that it is going to deploy a plug-and-play video-over-VoIP application, which will combine a video telephony and SIP software functions at GLOBALCOMM. GlobalTouch is working with Leadtek Research Inc., video maker company to develop the video phones and to overcome challenges of video signal handling.
The GlobalTouch platform offers two ways of making video calls:
1. Leadtek desktop phone
2. GlobalTouchs video softphone with its VoIP services
The softphone integrates with Microsoft Outlook Contact, which mean that if user has vediophone capabilities, directly initiate for video call by simply clicking on Outlook Contact. It will call as a normal voice-call only if user does not have a videophone. GlobalTouch said that it has developed software-only server side T.38 Fax support. It means that company can offer the double fax transmission speed and high level of transmission reliability to its customer. The International Telecoms Union (ITU) as real-time IP fax transport specifies the T.38 Fax protocol.
Companys fax in/out software resides on the VoIP server in the server side. Normally, servives providers will depend on third party for equipment of T.38-capable fax termination.

He told that the new use of T.38 fax protocol in expensive hardware boards, it offers more faster and reliable fax.
