Do Your Potential Customers Know That VoIP’s Come a Long Way?

In college, my friends and I relished in VoIP. Back then, it was new and free . . . Although we could barely hear each other on our computer to computer calls, let alone on the few computer to phone calls we made, free is fantastic to penny-pinched college kids. So what that the voices were garbled and the service spotty?
The friend who I spoke to most often on VoIP still uses VoIP today for her primary line. Boy has it changed. Clear, crisp, just like a real phone. If it wasn’t for her willingness to continue using the technology though, I probably wouldn’t have stayed as tapped in to it as I have over the years.
My point is that VoIP providers have to overcome age-old perceptions and misconceptions . . . People who tried VoIP in its infancy years ago might not know that it’s come a long, long way since then. And that, right there, is a great place to start when getting people to take another look.
