BT has registered more than one million customers for its VoIP services, BT Broadband Talk and BT Softphone. The VoIP Company has gained the magical mark more than six months earlier than projected.
BT had anticipated one million customers base in July 2006. However, the company achieved it much before. It shows popularity of BT broadband services among the UK customers.
Satisfied with BTs achievement, Gavin Patterson, MD at BT Retail said, We now have more than a million customer accounts for our VoIP services and to achieve this in six months is nothing short of spectacular. UK consumers are clearly happy to embrace internet telephony when it is straightforward to use and offers great value, and through BT Total Broadband our customers are getting all the benefits that broadband has to offer.
With BT Broadband Talk, UK customers use their broadband connections as an extra line, getting inclusive evening and weekend calls to UK landlines.
