Are we really enjoying Free VoIP?
Source: voipcentral.org
It would be very silly to say that we are enjoying free VoIP services, at least after reading Smiths post. There is no free VoIP in real sense. We have to pay something in guise. Regardless to say its Skype or Abbynet or Raketu or anything else. How?
Smith talks about three hidden costs, Monetary Cost, Time Cost and Experience Cost. I dont feel time cost matters most. Time consumption is there in any kind of service, even for landline calls or mobile calls. The experience cost is something subjective concept. It depends upon the customers how they enjoy the service.
Personally, I feel a great deal of monetary cost is involved in free VoIP services. Unarguably, customers need internet connections. These are not free. Obviously, the rate varies depending upon the speed. For VoIP, it is always advisable to have high speed net connection. It requires monthly payment and set up cost.
So, Shall we consider, there is free VoIP in strict sense?
