Brian Allain, General Manager and Vice President of Voice and Data Business Unit of 3Com said,

If the underlying infrastructure cant properly providequality of service , security and prioritization of VoIP traffic, the application will not meet the users expectations. 3Coms switching portfolio is optimized for a voice network because it has been designed specifically with the requirements needed to maximize the benefits of VoIP. 3Com has been a VoIP pioneer and a networking pioneer, so we understand the requirements for each and they are reflected in the development of our products and solutions.

The new 3Com Switch 4500G is a reliable solution for converged environments because of the features like intelligent quality of service to auto prioritize voice traffic, Auto Voice VLAN, Power over Ethernet.
